Al-Maghreb United, a UMD club focused on the North Africa region, hosted a soccer tournament modeled after AFCON on Sunday, Nov. 23, 2025 in the Engineering Multipurpose Fields. The tournament had competing teams representing different African cultural clubs at UMD including the Sudanese Students Organization (SSO), Somali Students Association (SSA), Egyptian Students Association (ESA) and Faces of African Muslims (FAM).
